Battery material synthesis and washing consumed very large volumes of ultra-pure water, while the resulting saline process effluent was expensive to discharge.

Engineered Solution

  • High-capacity RO + EDI ultra-pure water trains with parallel redundancy
  • Dedicated process wastewater collection and pre-treatment
  • Ultrafiltration and high-recovery RO for reclaimed water reuse
  • Concentrate management moving the site toward zero liquid discharge
